I am deeply honoured to have had five of my paintings selected to exhibit in the Air Arts 'Home, Health and Hope' exhibition funded and organised by Derby & Burton Hospitals Charity. You can see my artwork in the main corridor or Derby Royal Hospital near the Faith Centre. There are many other lovely artworks throughout the hospital and it is a real privilege to think they may brighten someone's day. Keep checking my Events page for up to date info on where I will be.
About me
I am a watercolour artist based in Derbyshire. I have been painting since I could hold a brush and professionally for the past 15 years. I work predominantly with watercolours. I love using loose, layered washes to create dramatic skies and foregrounds that are structured and complex, composed of crisp silhouettes - mostly delicately painted trees and British wildlife (especially deer). Working out of my log cabin 'shedquarters' in my garden I am fuelled by many cups of tea and lots of cake! My many walking adventures in the Peak District with my dog Pippin provide limitless inspiration.
Where can you find me?
I exhibit and sell my watercolour paintings at many events throughout the year where you can often see me demonstrating have a chat and purchase directly from me. My next event is an Art Exhibition at Attenborough Nature Reserve on 16/17 August. I have a number of my paintings, prints and cards in The Cabin, Belper, Curly Magpie Wonder Shop, Swadlincote, The National Trust, Calke Abbey.
